I was diagnosed with the sarcoma in Nigeria four years back.I visited a hospital in Delhi in India three times but nothing was clearly diagnosed nor was any specific treatment given to me despite spending huge amount of money. One of my friends who got treated through Med Access whose case was mismanaged by a renowned hospital in Mumbai but finally got correct treatment through Med Access, recommended Med Access for the treatment. Immediately we got in touch with Med Access and got a quick response from them. Everything was promptly put in place.

When we reached India we were overjoyed to be received by a taxi sent by Med Access India. They welcomed us on phone & kept enquiring about our move. We were received at the hotel and after one hour I am in the hospital for my consultation with doctors & they immediately took care of all hospital formalities without any hassle. It is beyond words to thank them for their work starting from our arrival to our departure. They took care of all our needs of telephone, hotel stay. They made us so comfortable that we never felt, we are away from our home.

Initially I was referred to bone cancer specialist but it was concluded that I don’t have bone cancer and my condition was related to an infected hip replacement surgery which was done in Lebanon in 2001. FinaI treatment planned was a need of revision hip surgery after this swelling below the leg is treated and infection in the hip joint is treated. I would like to say thanks to Med Access for their efforts for my treatment. My name is Fatou Y Kargbo and I am from Sierra Leaone, West Africa. I came to India, through Med Access on the recommendation of one of my friends who got treatment in India through Med Access. After seeing his successful surgery I decided to go through Med Access only. I had heart related issues and my doctor there told me I have heart failure and heart blockage symptoms and would need open heart surgery. I could not walk a few steps without support and I had breathlessness.

I came alone and was quite apprehensive about the whole process.

Med Access has a unique approach to the complete treatment management which helps the patient from every angle. They discussed with me the complete process that they would adopt, I was quite comfortable with it. They selected the top most cardiologists for my case consultation and I met the first of them and was quite impressed. He seemed to know my problem as if. I was advised some tests and diagnostics and by the evening I was told that I would need to undergo angiography.

Then we met the second cardiologist and he went through my reports and again advised angiography.

I was scheduled for angiography the next day. I saw it on the screen myself. I was told that I do not have any blockage, therefore, do not need any surgery and that my case will be managed with medicines, so I started taking the prescribed medications which started showing positive results within no time.

I personally feel that this innovative Med Access approach will help every patient ig receiving the best and appropriate treatment and the right outcome.

I would not have expected more...the right treatment and the right management of the whole process and the whole process is so economical.

I get a chance to meet with other patients from many countries. They all were very happy with the kind of treatment they were getting through Med Access.

Information: I was referred to Med Access by my cousin who got his treatment successfully done through Med Access two years ago. My cousin briefed me about Med Access and assured me that I will receive absolutely the best in terms of everything through them and that they are thorough professional always aiming to provide the best treatment and will immaculately manage my treatment and trip.

My experience: Since my condition was difficult and I had not responded to any treatment so far, my first feeling “can these people handle it”? I was apprehensive because I been to UK and in many hospitals in Nigeria, and did not get any good response.

My condition had affected my eyes and I had ulcers in my body. I am a professor by profession and have completed all my education from prestigious universities in U.K but due to my health problems, I had to make compromises in my professional life.

Before, I arrived my case was discussed with the right doctors from all over India and Med Access was fully prepared to manage my case. On arrival, I stated with the investigations the very firs day and all the investigations reports were ready the third day of my being in India. I was impressed.

Then, it was decided that my eye problem will be addressed first... I underwent eye surgery first right and then the left after one week...my eye visibility had improved substantially and I started to manage myself better. In the meantime, I was made to consult a known homeopath to look into my problem.
I was put on medication and observed improvement with the medication...then I was also taught known Indian Pranayama yoga which I was instructed to do minimum half an hour everyday...I still could find betterment in my condition. The allopathic medication was also given to me and I felt still better

Overall, I would say that with holistic approach, I was feeling much much better...was able to do things myself, My ulcer was also responding quite well.

Do you think, any patient could have been able to manage his/her case in such an efficient and effective manner...so professionally and with so much of focus and care. No, not al all!

Hats off to Med Access...they are wonderful...their approach is outstanding which is benefitting hundreds of patients from my country as I met so many patients during my stay here, they all were complicated cases , all were doing well with Med Access patient-centric and focused approach.

I would like to recommend any and everybody who is suffering from any kind of complicated problem to utilize Med Access experience, expertise and innovative integrated approach to treatment management.

I arrived here on March 1st 2013 from Nigeria for a comprehensive medical check-up on the invitation of Med Access. Before then I have been unwell for quite some time and no definite diagnosis was made in Nigeria.

1.) Although no exact cause could be found about my major complains (extreme weakness and hot flushes), I am quite happy with consultants and experts were involved in the investigations. Very knowledgeable and experts were involved in the investigations. Their friendly disposition is highly commendable. They freely discuss the results of the medical tests which were also very timely. On the average the time to see a doctor is minimal.

2.) The staff of Med Access especially my case manager is wonderful. They made us feel at home. He is to me is more of brother/son. He integrated my son very rapidly. In many situations he worked outside his official time (at times up to 9 pm) to ensure that we met appointments with the doctors. To Director, I will say she is extra ordinary. She not only ensured that I saw the best doctors available, but she also assures that we were comfortable.

3.) The staffs of Bel Air hotel need commendation. They were prompt in providing our needs, including cooking utensils. The apartment is kept as clean as possible and they freely provided directions when needed.

4.) The major challenges we had, was feeding. For the first time visitor to India this is difficult for somebody spending 2-3 days this may not be a problem, but for someone staying up to 1 week, it may be a problem. I guess there may be somewhere, where African food material could be available around. If this can be identified, many people not are in hustle to leave.

5.) They have done our humanly best to identify the cause of my weakness. I would have been very much happier to tell them back home that “this & that” has been identified as the cause. All the same, I am happy with the results that I am going home with belief that “Doctors treat, but God cures”. Believing God, I will be very happy very soon.
