Dr. Suhas Hardas is a well-known, experienced Cardiologist based in Pune, practising at Hardas Heart Care, Ruby Hall Clinic, Poona Hospital, and other hospitals in and around Pune. Having worked in the field of Cardiology for over 23 years, he has treated hundreds of thousands of patients suffering from various cardiac disorders.
He has also performed close to ten thousand Coronary Angioplasties as an independent operator, which include complex areas such as Chronic Total Occlusion, bifurcations, Left Main narrowing, Calcified lesions requiring Rotablators, interventions of the Bypass Grafts, multiple Stentings, multivessel Stentings, and Angioplasties in very fragile, sick patients with extremely poor Haemodynamics.
The trans-catheter closure of Atrial Septal Defect was first performed by Dr. Hardas in the city of Pune in October 2000. Subsequently, he has done hundreds of trans-catheter ASD and PDA closures. He mastered the technique of post-MI VSD closure approximately seven years ago and is credited with the highest number of post-MI VSD closures in the state of Maharashtra since then.
He had hands-on training on Renal ablation for severe systemic hypertension in Frankfurt in the year 2011. Similarly he has had hands-on training at Elizabeth Hospital Essen (Germany) and Monash Medical Center for Transcatheter Aortic Valve implant and Mitraclip (percutaneous repair of mitral valve) at Cedars Sinai LA in April 2013.
Dr. Suhas Hardas is an astute clinician, born leader and an all-round personality with equal interest in sports. He is an excellent orator and has delivered numerous public as well as profession-related talks at national and international levels.
Dr. Hardas successfully launched the Videocon Heart Centre under the banner of Seth Nandlal Dhoot Hospital in the year 2002 at Aurangabad. Subsequently, he also started a cardiac facility at Mahatma Gandhi Mission Hospital, Aurangabad. He is also the founder and the team leader of a cardiac facility at Karad (Shree Siddhivinayak Cathlab) and also at Pawana Hospital, Talegaon.
