Dr. Shona Nag is one of Pune’s best breast cancer specialists and a leading medical oncologist. She is known for her work in women’s health especially that for breast cancer and cervical cancer. She has over 27 years of experience and has made it her mission to encourage everyone to understand cancer better, especially women. As the Director, Oncology at Sahyadri Group of Hospitals in Pune, Dr. Shona Nag has been instrumental in helping patients navigate cancer better.
She has 27 years of experience and has worked as an expert in different cities in India. She is one of Pune’s best breast cancer specialists and a leading medical oncologist. She is known for her work in women’s health especially that for breast cancer and cervical cancer. She was previously associated with many prestigious hospitals like KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Jehangir Hospital, Pune and M. N. Budhrani Cancer Institute.
Doctor Shona Nag has contributed to handling numerous complex medical cases in several hospitals. She is known for her attention to accurate diagnosis and treating patients empathetically. The speciality interests of Dr Shona are Chemotherapy, Hormonal therapies, Targeted Therapy and Immunotherapy.
She is an active member of the Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology (ISMPO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
Dr Nag did her MD in General Medicine from Pune University. She also completed a Fellowship in Medical Oncology from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She has also participated in research work and various workshops under the Medical Oncology department and published many papers. Dr Shona Nag heads the Nag Foundation, a non-governmental organization that focuses on cancer care, research, and cancer education in India.
Dr Shona Nag has also been rewarded for her cancer research. She received the ISCR award in 2010 for the best research site and the GSK-ERI award for ethnic research in breast cancer.
