Established department of urology in Sassoon General hospital and BJ medical college.

Conducted two surgical workshops successfully.  I)Surgical workshop of stricture urethra 2002 (WZ –USI)        II)International workshop ‘PROSURG’ ( 2004 )   For the first time in country, where all surgical modalities ( TURP, Bipolar TURP, Holmium Laser ,Thulium Laser ,KTP Laser,TUNA     , Open Prostatectomy) were demonstrated in this work shop

Started renal transplant surgery in Sassoon general Hospital and city of Pune.   

First time successful Sex change surgery performed. 

First person to introduce a surgical technique known as Indian pouch’ (treatment for cancer Bladder)

A new technique of urethral reconstruction for female patients was innovated.

Started advanced urological laparoscopy in Sassoon hospital.

Performed more than 1500 supra major cases. (Like Radical nephrectomy , Radical prostatectomy , Radical cystectomy , Ureteral Bladder replacement etc.)Performed more than 5000 major cases including, urethral reconstructions, Pediatric reconstructions etc ).

Regular teaching for under graduate, Post graduates, and active participation all hospital and college activities.
